19 Things I Want To Achieve Before The New Year

So originally I was going to do a 25 before 25 post but I’ve got less than 4 months until my birthday so that seems a little crazy. I liked the idea so I’m going to do a 19 before 2019 post instead. Keep reading if you want a look at my plans for the rest of the year!

  1. Plan / leave the country on holiday
  2. Play an open mic night
  3. Plan a capsule wardrobe
  4. Move out
  5. Go on a boat break
  6. Visit York
  7. Post once a month on Soundcloud
  8. Read 10+ books
  9. Post 54 blog posts (6 a month)
  10. Do a 5k charity event
  11. Minimize my wardrobe and buy better quality pieces
  12. Tidied my room entirely
  13. Draft my fiction book
  14. Budget monthly
  15. Help out with a depression forum
  16. Lose 20kgs
  17. Save Β£2500 +
  18. Have a picnic on the beach
  19. Do my first guest post somewhere

So there you have it. I have exactly 9 months or 276 days to achieve all 19 items on my list. Do you have any long-term goals? Do you think I can do it? :

  1. Good goals πŸ’œ I have to ask though…. what’s a capsule wardrobe?! Also can I recommend looking I into Marie Kondo before you tidy your room? She has great tips on organising and letting go of stuff! Good luck with all of them, I think you’ll be feeling very proud of yourself by the time 2019 rolls in πŸ™‚ x

    1. Thanks! A capsule wardrobe is basically a condensed wardrobe where you have basic items that all work together. πŸ™‚

Yeah Marie Kondo is amazing. I’ve already read her books but thanks for the recommendations! πŸ™‚

  3. I think that this is a great list. And it all seems achievable too! I think writing these lists really helps you work towards things, and it is always so satisfying ticking or crossing things off!

  5. I love these goals! I’m currently writing a 30 things to do before I turn 30 (which is 9 years away so I’m trying to make them bigger ones) and I’m definitely taking some inspiration from yours! Especially the karaoke/open mic night – I’ve always wanted to sing but I’m too scared and have stage fright, so that’s something I’m definitely going to work up to!

  6. Great goals. You can do it! Most of my goals are for my blog. The typical things like gain more followers, comments, likes, etc. But in my life some of my goals are to start over with my wardrobe, save every $10 I get, and learn how to do my makeup like a pro.

  8. This was a great list of things! I was going to do a ’30 before 30′ post but I’m struggling with the last few things to add to my list! Good luck with them all I’m sure you’ll smash them! I don’t like to set long term goals cause I often fail at things like New Years Resolutions but I’m hoping to keep setting myself smaller more achievable goals every few months to see if I can reach them and be more productive! 20kg is a lot, if you’re looking to lose weight and want to exercise more I really recommend the couch to 5k app for beginners for jogging, it helped me go from not being able to run at all to being able to run almost 7 miles and I lost loads of weight while doing it!

    1. That sounds like a great recommendation! I’m actually looking to do a 5k in May, my local Bubble Rush for EACH the charity. Do you have FitBit or Nike Run Club? Nothing like some healthy motivation or competition, eh?

  10. This is such a great idea! I like how some of your goals are smaller like reading books, but others are pretty big and important like moving out. I also want to organize a capsule wardrobe because I have way too many clothes that I don’t wear or don’t go with anything else and I think a capsule wardrobe would be really nice! Good luck on your 19 goals!
