Motivation Monday 7 – Week Beginning 07/05/2018
[Past Week Recap]
Make a List Of Everything I Need
I have started to simultaneously make a list and buy things as well. So far I keep seeing new things every day so I think it is going to be easy to continuously make a list and purchase things. I’ve got a sofa, some drawers, bath mat, toilet brush, soap dispenser and a toothbrush holder. How exciting!
Make An Overtime Plan
Ah yes, this old chestnut. I have actually made headway with this and have planned my overtime for this week. I was on holiday last week so I wasn’t actually doing any overtime or work last week. I have planned to do a few hours a week so far to try and ease myself back into that routine.
Inventory Of Makeup And Bathroom Products
I haven’t done this one yet. I’m going to carry this on to this week because it is definitely something I want to get done ASAP and definitely before I move.
Plan May’s Blog Topics
I’ve planned all of my posts this month. Whether or not all of this posts will get done and go up on time is another point entirely. Annoyingly I want this whole month to centre on productivity and I’ve just had 0 motivation to honestly do anything other than sleep. I also started writing a post about being alone which has been good but kind of upsetting too so I’ve put off going back to that post to complete it.
Start Productivity Tip 1
I am doing this one currently but again, it’s such a half-arsed attempt because I have no motivation at all. I’m currently trying daily productivity motivation through Headspace and will do a report on how I’m finding it this Friday.
Goals – Week Commencing 07/05/2018
So, May so far has been kicking my butt and it’s only the 7th. Tragic right? I really want to try my hardest to turn May around and get a lot done. Someone from my school recently had a heart attack on her 24th Birthday and passed away. It really made me think about how she can no longer do the amazing things she was meant to do. Meanwhile, I’m just laying in bed feeling sorry for myself. So, let’s do this.
Try the Miracle Morning
Those of you reading may or may not be aware of Hal Elrod and his story and his Miracle Morning. To cut to the main part of the story he suggests spending an hour each morning on yourself. The acronym is used to demonstrate the point. Silence, Affirmations, Visualisation, Exercise, Reading and Scribing. The idea is to spend 10 minutes on each step. I’m also part of the Miracle Morning community on Facebook who are all super helpful.
Complete All My House Paperwork
As I’m sure you’re all sick to death of hearing about; I’m buying my first house. I have been given a stack of paperwork from my solicitors to go through and I want to make sure I fully understand everything before just blindly signing it all.
Listen To More New Music
I have recently been listening to Kalyn Nicholson’s Spotify playlists and have fallen in love with the one called “Spirit Animal”. It’s all kind of ethereal pop? I have no idea what the genre actually is but it’s not something I normally listen to but it’s had me captivated this past week. I want to find more like this, please!
No Crying This Week!
This is probably a weird and tragic goal for me this week. I’ve been all over the place with my mental health, physical health and change in relationship status. There’s so much change going on in my life, most of it good thankfully, but I’ve been getting so overwhelmed and just crying about it. I need to snap out of it and stay strong this week!
As last week I didn’t do it… I want to do this again so I know what products I’ve been hoarding and what I need to think about buying before or shortly after the move.
