Motivation Monday July Goals

It’s officially over halfway through the year now and I have to admit I’ve kind of given up somewhat with my goals. This being said I listened to an amazing podcast episode and it came exactly when I needed it about goal setting for the last 6 months and ways you can still achieve this year.

I’m going to try and set a few realistic goals to get back into the swing of it. Keep reading below ;

  • Focus on my health

My health has really taken a back seat lately and has had some pretty severe consequences lately as well. This being said I really need to focus on drinking more water, more supplements and more fruit and veg. Fewer headaches and kidney troubles, please.

  • Stay calm

I’ve noticed recently that I’ve been quite angry and it’s not very flattering. It’s also not very nice either. I’ve been toying with the idea of meditation lately and am not sure I entirely believe that it works… I think I’m going to do daily meditation for a month and document the effects.

  • More sleep

I’m really awful for whinging all the time that I’m tired and then going to bed really late and getting up really early for work. I want to make a conscious effort to get at least 7 hours of sleep as that seems to be the optimum amount for me to focus well on.

  • Support people around me

I have been feeling very down in the dumps lately about the state of the country/planet/ my health. This being said there is more than likely always someone going through something worse than you who needs support. I’m going to make a conscious effort to try and support people around me and those I come into contact with through social media.

  • More music

Vague, right? I love music and have been obsessively listening to Beetlejuice the Musical (it’s amazing!) but want to make sure I broaden my musical horizons. I love finding new artists to share with everyone. If you have some musicians you feel like I might like then please feel free to share them below. 🙂

So there we have it! Hopefully, I can actually stick to at least a few of these 😉

How is it September? Like, seriously. August was a crazy month for me and I finally ended up moving out so my goals have kind of gone by the wayside. I’m finding my own routines in my house and it’s beginning to feel more and more normal so I’m going to try and make a few leaps as far as goals go.
