Motivation Monday 10

Last week was a total write off. You may have seen on my social media that my Mum got ill and has been in the hospital since last Monday. Annoyingly she’s not got much better and all the tests they promise to do aren’t being done. This being said she seems a little better now and I need to try and get back to some amount of normalcy. Below are a few laid-back goals for the week to try and ease me into life again.

February Goals 2018

I am fully aware that I was supposed to post my goals at the start of this year but the time got away from me. I like the review/goal post format so will start that again next month. Below are my goals for February. πŸ™‚

Overtime

I am in a fortunate position where overtime, where I work, is pretty much always available. We get paid more for overtime as well so when I can do it I would really like to. I normally end up getting to work about 40 minutes early so I can do 30 minutes in the morning every morning as long as there are no transport issues.

I’d really like to do 12 hours overtime this month which gives me 30 minutes a day plus 2 hours. I’m going to try my hardest to fit this in! πŸ™‚

Water

This has literally been a goal/ habit I want to form for the last year or so. I am awful at drinking water or anything other than fizzy drinks if I’m being entirely honest. I just never really feel thirsty.

I have an app on my phone to remind me to drink water so that’s a decent start. I have also bought myself a Brita water jug and have been keeping that in the fridge as I really can’t stand room temperature water.

My boyfriend and coworkers also know I need be drinking more water so are quietly suggesting so and asking what I’ve drunk so far, offered to fill up my bottle etc. They’re all really sweet so it’s good to have caring people like this on my side.

Gym

I know this is the same as the majority of the population making goals right now. There was a point last year where I was loving going to the gym and how I felt when I got back so I really want to get there again. I spend a lot of time with my boyfriend and at the cinema so want to try and balance that with going to the gym as well to try and shift some weight.

The plan is to go at least twice a week, to begin with, and then try and increase either the length of time or frequency from there. I will be checking in with this one and using some adorable planner stickers to remind me in my diary when I want to go!

Tarot

I got some tarot cards just after Christmas (totally inspired by Kalyn Nicholson) and have been doing a few readings. You may have seen on my Instagram (link) that I won Β£15 on a scratchcard after reading my cards were fortunate. It’s all pretty awesome.

I want to continue to learn all I can about tarot cards and readings. I also want to try writing down how my day went at the end of the day and then reading my cards to see if they match. I want to keep a tarot card diary; so is that something you want to see?

3 Month Bucket List (Summer) #1

Summer Bucket List

Alright, so it’s been summer for a while here in England and I totally get that. That’s why I’ve called it my 3-month bucket list. Hopefully, I want to cross most of these things off the list before October!

  • Picnic in the woods.
    If you have read my self-care post you will know that I have a thing for nature and the outdoors at the moment. I think this has something to do with being stuck inside 9-5 during the week. There’s nothing more adorable and romantic to me at the moment than the idea of taking a picnic and finding a beautiful place to enjoy it. Ideally, I want to go somewhere I haven’t been before by a lake if possible.
  • Beach at night.
    This one has been something I’ve wanted to do for a while. Technically I’ve been at the beach at night with my dad when he went fishing. This time I want to see the sunset from the beach and just lay on a blanket and stare at the stars with the relaxing sounds of the waves.
  • Theme Park.Β 
    Theres something about a theme park that screams summer to me. Coincidentally my manager recently mentioned going to the beach near me that has a theme park at one end. Maybe i can watch the sunset too and kill two birds with one stone.
  • Outside Cinema.
    This is the something that i have seen and heard a lot of American YouTubers and programmes talking about (Riverdale). It isn’t, however something i’ve heard about here in England until recently. It seems to be a phase in this country at the moment but i can totally see why. The only issue being our beautiful weather…
  • Go somewhere new.Β 
    This is an overarching theme at the moment since i recently got my first passport and have never in my life left the country. Terrible i know. At the moment this relates more to within the UK and we’ll leave the overseas travelling for when i have more time and money.
