It’s officially over halfway through the year now and I have to admit I’ve kind of given up somewhat with my goals. This being said I listened to an amazing podcast episode and it came exactly when I needed it about goal setting for the last 6 months and ways you can still achieve this year.
I’m going to try and set a few realistic goals to get back into the swing of it. Keep reading below ;
Focus on my health
My health has really taken a back seat lately and has had some pretty severe consequences lately as well. This being said I really need to focus on drinking more water, more supplements and more fruit and veg. Fewer headaches and kidney troubles, please.
I’ve noticed recently that I’ve been quite angry and it’s not very flattering. It’s also not very nice either. I’ve been toying with the idea of meditation lately and am not sure I entirely believe that it works… I think I’m going to do daily meditation for a month and document the effects.
I’m really awful for whinging all the time that I’m tired and then going to bed really late and getting up really early for work. I want to make a conscious effort to get at least 7 hours of sleep as that seems to be the optimum amount for me to focus well on.
Support people around me
I have been feeling very down in the dumps lately about the state of the country/planet/ my health. This being said there is more than likely always someone going through something worse than you who needs support. I’m going to make a conscious effort to try and support people around me and those I come into contact with through social media.
Vague, right? I love music and have been obsessively listening to Beetlejuice the Musical (it’s amazing!) but want to make sure I broaden my musical horizons. I love finding new artists to share with everyone. If you have some musicians you feel like I might like then please feel free to share them below. 🙂
So there we have it! Hopefully, I can actually stick to at least a few of these 😉
I talk a good game on my goals about what I want to achieve and a few days later I stop because I either forget or purely get in a sulk and don’t want to any more. I’m going to try a few different ways of keeping on track per week and will report on how the previous week has gone with whatever method I have tried. I’ve written a few things below that I want to focus on and work on this month. Keep reading to find out what I’ve decided on:
Birchbox is a subscription service of makeup, skincare and haircare products. It’s £12.95 a month and you receive a mixture of full size and travel-sized items. I have had a very love/ hate relationship with Birchbox so I thought I’d review what I got for the month of January.
I’ve been a Birchbox subscriber for about 10 months now and I’m at a point where I’m not sure whether I want to continue with it. This being said I have reviewed the most recent box to help you decide whether you would be interested in this box.
I think I may have been a tad ambitious in the past when it came to reading lists in the past as I don’t actually remember the last time I managed to finish a book. Maybe it was Warm Bodies like 7 years ago… Who knows? This being said I have now moved into my first home alone and have a lot of free time in the evenings. I’ve also not been too well either so I have to do a lot of resting. 😦 Find out what I’m reading below and why.
September was a tough month; everyone I talk to seems to agree. This being said I have decided to mix it up and give myself monthly goals. It gives me a little longer to actually achieve things and accounts for minor setbacks. Keep reading to see what I’ve decided on…
Last week was a total write off. You may have seen on my social media that my Mum got ill and has been in the hospital since last Monday. Annoyingly she’s not got much better and all the tests they promise to do aren’t being done. This being said she seems a little better now and I need to try and get back to some amount of normalcy. Below are a few laid-back goals for the week to try and ease me into life again.
